Oleh Lysheha is a Ukrainian writer. He was born in Kyiv, Ukraine on June 21, 1973. Lysheha's first collection of short stories, "The Taras Bulba", came out in 2003. His first novel, "The Book of the Dead" (2007), became bestseller of Ukraine and won him the award "Booker Prize" of Ukraine (2008)
His second novel, "The Second Book of the Dead" (2012), won him the award of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture (2013) and the award of the Ukrainian Writers' Union (2013). He lives in Kyiv, Ukraine with his wife and daughter.
